How to type your answer properly

Please, read the following page, https://www.myopenmath.com/info/enteringanswers.php.

Message instructor

For each problem on myopenmath, there is a message instructor link on myopenmath.

Message_instructor

When you ask, attach a picture of your computation with your description of something you do not understand.

I will try to respond within 24 hours.

Latepass

You can extend the due date of some homework if you use late pass before due date.

After due date, you cannot extend anymore.

Attendance Policy (Read Carefully.)

An Unexcused absence result in 1 attendance penalty. One late mark (10 min after a class begins) counts as 0.5 attendance penalty. If you are present 40 min after a class begins or if you are present for 50 % of the class or less, then you will be marked as absent. To excuse your absences, a proper document with early notice is necessary.

If your attendance penalty is over 3, you may receive Failing grade including F, WN and WU.

WU grade policy(QCC): If a student attended at least once, and then completely stop attending any time prior to final exam week without officially withdrawing.

To avoid WU, do not miss any exams and final.

Grading

No make up exam nor final. No late submission for class activities, homework, project

I will follow QCC Grading Policy (https://www.qcc.cuny.edu/registrar/gradingPolicy.html)

a. In-Person Class Exam(50%): EXAM1(June 6, 25%), EXAM2(June 20, 25%)

b. Classroom Activities(10%): Class activities including class attendance

c. Online Homework(10%): Weekly Myopenmath assignments including online quizzes

d. In-Person Final(June 27, 30%): Departmental Exam

I will replace only one of valid (no cheating) lowest scores of exams with the final score if the final score is higher.

Departmental 55 Rule for C or higher grade

To get C or higher grade, you need to satisfy both of two conditions.

The class average is 74 or higher. https://www.qcc.cuny.edu/registrar/gradingPolicy.html

The final score is 55 or higher.

For example, if your class average is 78 and the final score is 50, then you will get C- instead of C+.

  • Changing a graded exam and returning it for more credit.
  • Coping other’s project. (Do not forward another student’s project to me.)
  • Giving assistance to acts of academic misconduct/ dishonesty.
  • Using a cellphone or smart watch during a test
